“Calligraphy is a kind of music not for the ears but for the eyes” (V. Lazursky)

Which Style Do You Prefer?

RACHMANINOFF

Traditional and Flourished

Like its namesake, the Rachmaninoff is dramatic, heavily flourished and romantic.

Beethoven

Traditional Hand

Classic Copperplate is simple, structured and recognizable, much like the most recognizable of the classical composers.

Chopin

Romantic and Elegant

I named my favorite style after my favorite composer. The Chopin is light, ethereal, and simply stunning.

Debussy

Minimal with flourished touches

Similar to the other Romanic, Rachmaninoff, but with most letters kept simple with more dramatically flourished capitals and end flourishes.

Bach

Classically Modern

A bit modern with a varied baseline while still following the rules of calligraphy.

Joplin

Modern and Relaxed

Having a bit of fun and getting funky with lettering while keeping the baseline steady, that’s the Joplin hand.

Schumann

Modern and Fun

Inspired by the composers’ Scenes from Childhood, this is a carefree, casual style.

Mozart

Modern with a bit of drama

It’s fun and modern like the Schumann, but with lots of flair.
